Tyler, TX – Following the successful launch of Chapel Hill ISD’s “Bulldog Bonding Boxes” program last fall, the district is gearing up to distribute 1,750 educational craft activity boxes to elementary students for the upcoming Spring Break. 

Created by Parent & Family Engagement Coordinator Crystal Binning, this initiative previously sent home 1,700 boxes over Thanksgiving, providing students and their families with fun, educational activities to complete together.

The Bulldog Bonding Boxes are designed to serve several key purposes:

• Strengthening Family Bonds
• Reinforcing Learning
• Encouraging Creativity
• Promoting Positive Habits
• Supporting Parental Engagement
• Creating Keepsakes

From Thanksgiving break, the Bulldog Bonding Boxes have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, who appreciate the program’s focus on family engagement and continued learning during school breaks. Many parents shared their excitement about the program, saying that boxes were easy and fun to implement.

In a recent survey, parents were asked if the Bulldog Bonding Boxes helped them spend meaningful time with their child, and every single parent responded with a resounding “yes!”

“We are thrilled to expand the Bulldog Bonding Boxes program this spring,” said Crystal Binning. “The feedback from parents has been incredible, and it’s rewarding to know that these activities are helping families connect and learn together.”
