A Message from Assistant Superintendent Matthew Strode
Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Chapel Hill Community Members,
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Assistant Superintendent of Chapel Hill ISD, a role I proudly stepped into in April 2024. As a lifelong educator, my mission has always been centered on one thing - students. Every decision, every effort, and every initiative I take part in is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring all students have access to the opportunities, support, and education they need to thrive.
I am a proud native of Spring, Texas and a graduate of Klein Oak High School. My journey in education began at Stephen F. Austin State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. With a growing passion for educational leadership, I went on to obtain a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. In 2023, I completed my Superintendent Certification through Texas A&M University–Texarkana, further preparing me to serve and support our district at the highest level.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many capacities – including teacher and coach at both the junior high and high school levels, junior high coordinator, assistant principal, and principal here in Chapel Hill ISD. These roles have strengthened my belief that the most important work we can do is invest in the lives of our students, both academically and personally.
As we continue moving forward together, I remain dedicated to supporting our teachers, empowering our campuses, and building strong partnerships with families and the community. I am excited about the future of Chapel Hill ISD and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside each of you in making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our students.
Sincerely,
Matthew Strode
Assistant Superintendent
Chapel Hill ISD
