Our early childhood programs help Chapel Hill’s youngest learners become school-ready. We work in close partnership with parents, recognizing them as essential partners in their children’s development and success. By creating a feeling of acceptance and a sense of belonging, we provide an environment that enables every child to feel safe and secure. We strive to provide an educationally appropriate and stimulating hands-on program to assist the development of the whole child.

All programs offer full-day classes.
Bilingual options available to students who qualify
Our Early Education Childhood programs follow Texas-approved curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten success.
Partner with Head Start program through Region 7
Options for 3 year-olds as well as 4 year-olds
Registration is now open for 2025-2026 school year

Qualifications

Head Start

Families meets or falls below the Federal Poverty Guidelines

Income-Based Pre-K

Families qualify through income as determined by the USDA guidelines

Tuition-Based Pre-K

An option for families who do not meet the income guidelines for Head Start or Income-Based Pre-K
Parents will need to make tuition payments to CHISD
