Mobile Phone Policy

Texas HB 1481, effective August 2025, already aligns very closely with our current practices, so the adjustment for our campuses will be minimal. The primary change is that students will no longer be allowed to use their phones during the lunch hour, ensuring consistency with the new law across the entire school day.

WHAT WE DO

The Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) is a comprehensive data collection system developed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). It is used by school districts across Texas to report essential information to the state on a regular schedule.

PEIMS reporting includes a wide range of information, such as:

  • Organizational Data (campus and district structure)

  • Budget and Actual Financial Information

  • Staff Information

  • Student Demographics

  • Program Participation (e.g., special programs and services)

  • School Leaver Data (graduation and dropout information)

  • Student Attendance

  • Course Completion

  • Discipline Records
