Chapel Hill ISD Health Services

Health Services

The Texas School Health Program envisions a Texas where all children are healthy, ready to learn, and prepared to make healthy lifelong choices.  Their mission is to meet the health services and health program needs of Texas children through schools. Current research indicates that by addressing young people’s health, schools can improve student performance.  There is mounting evidence that when schools take action to address health needs of students, they can also meet performance goals and alleviate financial constraints.

Visit Texas School Health Programs for more information.

The School Health Programs Office of the Texas Department of State Health Services has created a new webpage series focusing on physical activity and nutrition. The Healthy School Environment webpage provides many resources to promote, educate, advocate, and write grants for physical activity and nutrition to benefit all those that learn, teach, provide services, and administrate in and with Texas schools. To access the resources please visit the Healthy School Environment website.
