Matthew Strode was appointed Assistant Superintendent for the Chapel Hill Independent School District in April 2024. A native of Spring, Texas, he graduated from Klein Oak High School before pursuing higher education at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
Passionate about educational leadership, Mr. Strode furthered his studies at the University of Texas at Tyler, obtaining a Masters of Education in Educational Administration. In 2023, he completed his Superintendent certification from Texas A&M Texarkana, enhancing his credentials in school administration.
With nearly 15 years dedicated to education, Mr. Strode has held various roles, including teacher/coach at both high school and junior high levels, junior high coordinator, assistant principal, and head principal at Chapel Hill Junior High and Chapel Hill High School.
Mr. Strode's commitment remains steadfast in preparing students to excel in an evolving global landscape, ensuring they are equipped to thrive in a dynamic world.
