Please be aware that the first three applicants who respond and meet the qualifications will be selected as committee members. Once these seats have been filled, the application process will close.

The BOC is responsible for meticulously reviewing capital projects, bond expenditures, schedules, and project timelines. We’re seeking individuals with expertise in finance, architecture, and construction project management. Additionally, active members of the Parents Teacher Action Committee (PTA,) PTO, booster clubs, foundations, CHISD District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC), or site-based committees are encouraged to apply.

The committee shall function as an administrative committee. Citizen members of the committee shall not be employed or currently under contract with the district. In the event that an individual does become employed or under contract with the district during the term of their office, they shall automatically be removed from the committee. If a member has a conflict with a particular topic the committee addresses, they can recuse themselves from that discussion rather than resign. The BOC shall meet at a minimum on a quarterly basis to review the progress of capital projects.

The BOC will convene at least quarterly to review the progress of our capital projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards and fulfill the promises made to our community.
