Chapel Hill ISD is awarded the Texas Stronger Connections Grant

Chapel Hill, Smith County - Chapel Hill Independent School District (ISD) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Texas Stronger Connections Grant. This grant, aimed at fostering systemic change, will empower the district to address and respond effectively to issues of bullying, violence, and acts of hate.

The Texas Stronger Connections Grant is designed to support school districts in creating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments. By prioritizing the academic and non-academic needs of students, Chapel Hill ISD aims to bring about significant positive changes in the overall well-being of its student body.

"We are thrilled to have been awarded the Texas Stronger Connections Grant. This grant aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all students. We believe that addressing issues of trauma and mental wellness is crucial for the development of the whole child." states Robin White, Director of Student Services.

The grant is led by Texas Center for Student Support

CHISD anticipates a transformative impact on the academic, mental, behavioral, emotional, and physical well-being of its students. By actively addressing these issues, the district aims to create an environment that not only enhances academic achievements but also nurtures the holistic development of each student.
