Bulldog Band Secures 5th Place in State at UIL Military Marching Band Competition

Chapel Hill, Smith County - Chapel Hill Band showcased their exceptional talent, placing 5th, at the 4th annual UIL State Military Marching Band Competition on October 25.

Facing off against 14 of the top 4A military bands in the state during the preliminary rounds, the Bulldog Band demonstrated their prowess and secured a coveted spot in the FINALS bracket, allowing them to compete against the very best.

"I am more than pleased with our placement this year. Last year, we earned a silver medal. This year, we challenged ourselves with more complex music and intricate drill formations. While we might not have surpassed our previous ranking, we have unequivocally proven that the Bulldog Band stands among the best in Class 4A military bands,” said Director of Bands Joseph Hewitt.
