CHAPEL HILL ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $0.00. The voters of Chapel Hill ISD approved an M & O Tax Rate of $1.08 in October 2008 in a Tax Ratification Election. The M & O Tax Rate for 2012-13 is still $1.08. The Total Tax Rate for 2012-13 will be $1.245 which is 1.5 cents less than the Total Tax Rate in 2011-12.
