Every threat—whether made in person, online or as a joke—is taken seriously and can lead to disciplinary action and legal consequences.

If students see or hear something that could threaten the safety of others, they should not share or respond to it. They should immediately tell a trusted adult, teacher, administrator or law enforcement officer.

Chapel Hill ISD is incredibly proud to announce that Emily Greer, fine arts teacher at Jackson Elementary, has been selected as one of only SIX finalists for the 2027 Texas Teacher of the Year—the highest honor the State of Texas can bestow upon a teacher! 💙💛
For nearly two decades, Ms. Greer has inspired our youngest Bulldogs through music, art and theater. She encourages students to explore new experiences, build confidence and discover abilities they may not have known they possessed.
Ms. Greer will participate in finalist interviews on Oct. 15, and the Texas Teachers of the Year will be announced Oct. 16.

Student registration must be completed before Meet the Teacher on Saturday, August 15. Families who have not completed registration will not be able to meet their child’s teacher until the process is finished.
Registration assistance will be available at each campus during Meet the Teacher for families who still need to complete it.
Please remember: Students whose registration is not complete before the first day of school will not be able to attend until all registration requirements have been fulfilled.

New UIL guidelines for monitoring Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) went into effect over the weekend. These guidelines help schools evaluate heat conditions and make informed decisions about outdoor athletics and marching band activities.
Thanks to our community’s support of the 2023 Bond and the addition of the Multi-Purpose Activity Center, student safety is our #1 priority by providing protection from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. 💙💛
