homecoming court seniors

Homecoming week is always a special time in Chapel Hill and this year was no exception. Students showed their school spirit starting with the traditional Homecoming Parade and ending with the return of a Homecoming dance on Saturday. Homecoming week is always a time that brings students, staff, alumni and the community together centered around Bulldog pride.

The week kicked off with Bulldogs from all generations gathering for the Homecoming parade and community pep rally. Leading the parade was the 2026 Homecoming Court, who were introduced to the community for the first time at the pep rally.

Representing the senior class were Jacqueline Berrum, Emmeline Brown, Esperanza Brown, Aryssa Cooper, Lainey Enriquez, Gabryel Kissam, Damian Alvarado, Jack Dahlgren, Ke’Rion Green, Caleb Massey, Antonio Rivera, and Angel Velazquez. Juniors Alyssa Dunn and Noah Reyes, sophomores Chloe Brown and Jaderick Allen and freshmen Mia Murillo and Seth York rounded out the Homecoming Court.

Throughout the week, the hallways were filled with students enjoying the various spirit days. For students, dress up days are a chance to step away from the normal routine and be a part of something that involves the whole campus. Spirit days give students an opportunity to dress up and show their creativity, giving the hallways of CHHS an electric energy leading up to Friday evening.

While the entire Homecoming Court took center stage to kick off the night, Ke’Rion Green and Lainey Enriquez walked away with the honor of being voted Homecoming King and Queen.

The Bulldogs capped off Homecoming week with a huge win over Jacksonville High School under the Friday night lights. The celebration carried into the weekend as students traded the football field for the dance floor and gathered one more time to celebrate Homecoming with friends. The dance brought all the Bulldogs together to have fun with friends and make lasting memories.

While Homecoming week now becomes a fond memory, the moments and traditions shared will always remain. No matter how far and wide Bulldogs may travel after leaving The Hill, Homecoming serves as a reminder that they can always come back home to the community that helped shape them.
