TCTA

As you all know here at Chapel Hill high school we are surrounded with top notch students and staff. And every single day the Bulldogs show up and show their spirit whether on the field, on the stage, or in the classroom. But the spirit of CHHS doesn't just resonate within the confines of those arenas. It is carried beyond those platforms and taken out into the local communities by our students and staff in many ways. And sometimes... that Bulldog spirit is taken all the way to the state capitol.

That's exactly what our very own Ms. Eleanore Malone did this week. Ms. Malone is one of our freshman academy teachers here at the high school and teaches our freshman seminar class, and she had the opportunity this week to be named as the State President of the Texas Classroom Teacher Association(TCTA). "I was excited and felt blessed to be elected as State President of TCTA" Ms. Malone said as she prepared to travel down to Austin. She met with Jim Morales, a member of Texas State Representative Matt Shaefers office,  to discuss several of the new house bills that are being presented regarding school safety and student/teacher mental health issues.  Malone states " I was honored to be able to sit with Mr. Morales and discuss many of the challenges and issues facing teachers and students in education today."

CHHS is so proud to have Ms. Malone represents not only Chapel Hill but all teachers and students in the state of Texas. She is just another example of how Chapel Hill ISD is showing what it truly means to be a Bulldog, and that CHISD really is... Shaping the future, one child at a time!
