I grew up in a small southeast Texas town called Silsbee and graduated from Silsbee High School in 1994. I attended Lon Morris College after High School and graduated with an Associate of Science in 1996.
Upon graduating at LMC, I attended Sam Houston State where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1998. I also met my wife, Rebecca, at SHSU. We were wed in 1999 and are still happily married. Rebecca and I are also the proud parents of a handsome son, Brenden, who is 16.
Upon graduating from SHSU, I attended Lamar University where I graduated with a Master of Science in 2000 with a 4.0 GPA.
I have been an educator for 19 years in the state of Texas. During my career, I have held several leadership positions including: Principal, Assistant Principal, Restorative Discipline Coordinator, RtI Behavioral Coordinator, Team Leader, Public School Ambassador, Head Baseball Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and Curriculum Writing Team Member to name a few.
During my teaching career, I have taught various levels of science, ranging from Intermediate science to AP Biology. My career has given me experience in multiple environments. I have been in small schools with an enrollment of about 100 Kindergarten through 12th grade students. I have also been in large schools that have had enrollments of over 4000 students just at the campus I was teaching.
Thank you for welcoming me here at Chapel Hill ISD.
