Principles of Education and Training is the first of four courses in the Education pathway. This class is an introduction to the various careers available within the education and training career.
Students continue on to the Human Growth and Development class where there is an emphasis upon research, and theoretical perspectives.
Year three and four, Instructional Practices/Practicum in Education and Training, are field-based providing students background knowledge of child and adolescent development principles. Students learn to plan and direct individualized instruction and group activities, prepare instructional materials, and assist with record keeping as they intern in a local CHISD elementary or middle school.
