Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Ty Whitworth
Education is the foundation upon which everything else is built. I came to teaching from a career in corrections having worked 11 years for TDCJ, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where I observed many things true to life and people. I accepted an opportunity to teach at Chapel Hill High School in 2016 with the expectation of steering young people away from living in the criminal justice system, and opening them up to the possibility of working for the system in a professional capacity. The Criminal Justice program consists of mental, ethical, and physical challenges. Lessons have a skills competency component requiring physical mastery of a skill, but also explore ethical implications of decisions as well as challenging mental preparedness. I strive to develop mature ethical citizens who are knowledgeable of not only their rights, but their responsibilities as productive citizens in our great country and community. The wealth of our communities and nation are only enhanced as we contribute to the growth of our knowledge. Withdrawals aren't free and somebody pays for the debts others acquire in our communities and nation. Feel free to contact me during my conference time (7:30 AM to 8:50 AM) at 903-566-2311 ext. 1814 or by email anytime, email@example.com.
