Mr. David Woods

This is my third year to be a part of the Bulldog family.  I can't think of a better place to hang my HOOD. Although I earned my first teaching Certification in 1995, I chose to work in industry after graduation.   I have experience in a variety of industries and job titles.  However, the one constant was my desire to get in the classroom and teach. I firmly believe that every step that you take and every instance that you experience makes you who you are.  I also believe that having experienced life from a variety of perspectives better prepared me to teach. I started my teaching career in 2013 at TISD.  I taught Construction Technology and Principles of Architecture and Construction  for 2 years and Welding Technology for 2 years.  I will be teaching Ag Mechanics and Metal Technologies, Ag Fabrication and Facilities, Welding 1, and Welding 2. The classes will not be easy.  I fully expect the students to learn and work hard to learn.  I will teach proper technique and every tip and trick that I know.  My goal is to make sure that every student is ready to either enter the workforce or continue their educational journey prepared and confident. The pride of seeing a project through from inception to completion is only overshadowed by the experience gained through the process.

"A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him."
