Ms. Allyson Maranitch

Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Allyson Maranitch

My name is Allyson Maranitch and I'm so excited to start my first year teaching at Wise Fine Arts Magnet Elementary in Chapel Hill. Prior to coming to Chapel Hill I worked as a freelance dance educator and artist for several organizations and companies. Some of which include Young Audiences of Northeast Texas, a national arts integration organization, and Artistic Dance Concepts, a local dance studio in Tyler, Tx. I have also spent the past nine years with MA Dance, where I have been given the opportunity to work with dance and drill teams across the country, as well as adjudicate competitions in the state of Texas.

Dance has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started out at a young age in a dance studio by the name of Candy Crocker School of Dance in Tyler, Tx. I danced at Candy Crocker for eleven years, and through my high school years added the Robert E. Lee Southern Belle Drill Team to my dance experience. Upon my high school graduation, I attended Kilgore College where I became a Rangerette, Swingster, and Lieutenant. After Kilgore, I continued my undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin where I received a BFA in dance.

I can't wait to have all of my new students movin' and groovin' this year in dance class! We are going to have a blast on the dance floor!
