Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Susan Sparkman

This is my fifth year as the Chapel Hill French teacher and my ninth year of teaching.  I have also taught all levels of French 1-5, Pre-AP and AP at Whitehouse High School and Tyler ISD. I am presently pursuing my Masters of Romance Languages at the University of New Orleans and will be teaching the Dual Credit French courses at Chapel Hill in 2018.

I have one child, who is in her freshman year at the University of Texas in Austin.

I received my B.A. in Modern Languages (French) and Political Science from Texas A&M University in College Station.  I received a J.D. degree from Boston College Law School and an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School.  After retiring from my law career, I spent 18 months living in a tiny village in Provence, in the South of France.  It was this experience which led me to pursuing certification as a French teacher, K-12.  I am also certified to teach all history and social studies courses, grades 8-12
