    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    1. My children attended Chapel Hill last year and were enrolled on the last day. They will be returning to Chapel Hill for the next school year.  What do I need to do?

    If your children were enrolled on a Chapel Hill campus on the last day of school last year, they are considered returning students. Click on the ‘ENROLLING A RETURNING STUDENT’ on the Parents & Students page. This will take you to the Skyward Family Access login page.  All returning students’ online registration actions may be accessed at any time by using your Skyward Family Access login information. After logging in, find ‘Online Enrollment’ on the homepage of your personal account.

    2. My children attended Chapel Hill last year but withdrew before the year ended. They are returning to Chapel Hill this school year. What do I need to do to register them?

    If your children withdrew prior to the end of the year, we were required to inactivate them upon their withdrawal. Your children are considered “New Students”.  Click on ‘ENROLLING A NEW STUDENT’ on the Parents & Students page or the ‘New Student Registration’ icon. 

    3. My children attended Chapel Hill a couple of years ago, but did not attend last year. They are returning to Chapel Hill this school year. What do I need to do to register them?

    If your children did not attend a Chapel Hill school last year and were not enrolled on the last day of the year, they are not “returning students”. Your children are considered “New Students”.  Click on ‘ENROLLING A NEW STUDENT’ on the Parents & Students page or the ‘New Student Registration’ icon. 

    4. My child attended middle school this past year and was enrolled on the last day of the year; but will be in high school this coming year. Is s/he considered a “returning” student?

    Yes, your child is considered a returning student. Students who were actively enrolled on the last day of school in the uppermost grade level of their campus were automatically moved to the next campus at the end of the year. Click on the ‘ENROLLING A RETURNING STUDENT’ on the Parents & Students page.

    5. When will the online system be available for me to update my student/family information?

    Beginning July 31st, the online system will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for parents to enroll or re-enroll any student, new or returning. A notification of your completed updates will be sent to the registrar as soon as you complete the online update process.

    6. How much time do I need to complete the online forms?

    It will take approximately 25 minutes per child.

    7. I do not have a computer and/or internet access at home. Can I still enroll my child?

    Yes, you may use any computer with internet access at any location. For example, you may go to a friend or family member, the public library, or a Chapel Hill ISD campus that has an open computer lab set up for those who need assistance.

    8. When and where can I go for help with updating my information on-line?

    Beginning July 31st, each campus will have computers set up for you to use during normal operating hours.

    9. Will my information be secure?

    Yes. The information is uploaded through a secure, encrypted website. However, you must click the log out button at the end of your session. You must also remember to keep your user name and password secure.
