About Coach Moon

Coach Moon Started Teaching at Chapel Hill ISD in August of 2006.  He comes to us from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana.  He Teaches Special Education and coaches Football and Softball.

Functional Science 1, 2, 3, 4 (9FS1) (9FS2) (9FS3) (9FS4)
Grades: 9-12    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 0

Note: Placement in these courses is determined by ARD Committee.

These courses emphasize:

  • functional understanding of the environment, animal and plant life, and human interactions
  • the development of an individual sequential program as reflected on the student's IEP

Functional Social Studies I, II, III, IV (9FH1) (9FH2) (9FH3) (9FH4)
Grades: 9-12    Length: 2 semesters      Credit: 1 credit per year     GPA weight: 0

Note: Placement in this course is determined by ARD committee.

This course emphasizes:

  • the F.A.C.E.S. curriculum
  • the development of an individual sequential program as reflected on the student's IEP

Functional Math I, II, III, IV (9FM1) (9FM2) (9FM3) (9FM4)
Grades: 9-12    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 0

  • the F.A.C.E.S. curriculum

  • F.A.C.E.S. curriculum • fostering the development of skills that increase independence and encourage constructive cooperation and mutual problem-solving to prepare students for challenges of life after high school graduation as well as oral and written communication as related to daily skills

Athletics
Grades: 10-12     Length: 2 semesters      Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Athletic Director approval
This course emphasizes:

  • Football skills
  • Softball Skills
  • strength and conditioning
  • teamwork through competition

9th Grade Boys Athletics
Grade: 9    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year     GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Participation in summer workouts and Athletic Director approval

Note: Ninth grade boy athletes should sign up for this course if they wish to play football and any other sport.

This course emphasizes:

  • developing the same skills involved in Boys Athletics (see above)
