Social Studies, grade six, shall include the following TEKS topics: (1) personal, social and civic responsibilities. (2) History – ancient and contemporary; individuals and events (2) world geography – including maps, charts, graphs and models (3) economics (4) government – limited and unlimited (5) citizenship – rights and responsibilities (6) culture – differences and similarities (7) Social studies skills – critical thinking, sequencing and timelines.
