The students were given various notes on Tuesday. Included in the notes was a pamphlet about Picture Day, which will be on October 17th. Also included in the notes was information concerning a new attendance incentive sponsored by Chick-fil-A. The students were given a certificate for free nuggets.

**Homework- Study Spelling words and vocabulary words. Read daily in their library books and in their decodable book. The decodable book for this week is Rose the Brave. 

Remember to check the folders and the planners daily for the Spelling list and other important information.

Classroom News

This week we will be reading the story, "The Legend of Damon and Pythias."The students will learn the comprehension skill of Sequencing. In Social Studies this week we are learning about timelines. For extra credit the students can make a timeline of their childhood. Pictures can be used, but this is optional.  You may use poster board or any resource available. The timeline can be as creative as you want. It is due on or before Monday October 13th. The notes were sent the students.
