About Coach Brewster

Coach Brewster is currently in his second year of teaching and coaching at Chapel Hill High School.  He is married to Susie Brewster who currently teaches at Troup Elementary.  Coach Brewster has 3 boys (Cameron, Cade and  Connor) who also attend the Chapel Hill school system.  He received his Bachelor of Science from SFASU and is currently working on his Masters of Education degree from University of Texas at Tyler.

Course Descriptions

United States History (0400)
Grade: 11     Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Successful completion of World Geography and World History
This course emphasizes:

  • Reconstruction to the Present
  • economic, political, cultural, and geographic trends in our nation's history
  • the historic emergence of the United States as a world power
  • a multi-faceted view of our nation in changing times through literature, music, art, and film
  • the impact of constitutional issues on American society and the analysis of efforts to expand the democratic process

Boys Basketball (2066, 2045)
Grades: 10-12    Length: 2 semesters      Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Approval of the Head Basketball Coach
This course emphasizes:

  • basketball skills
  • strength and conditioning
  • teamwork through competition

9th Grade Boys Basketball (2067)
Grade: 9    Length: 2 semesters      Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Approval of Head Basketball Coach

Note: Ninth grade boy athletes should sign up for this course if they wish to play basketball only.

This course emphasizes:

  • developing the same skills involved in Boys Basketball (see above)
