Hi There,

Welcome to my web page. I  teach BCIS Business Computer Information Systems at Chapel Hill ISD.  I try to make it fun as well as educational.  We learn the whole MS Office suite of programs, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Course Descriptions

Business Computer Information Systems I (4047)
Grades: 10-12    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year    GPA weight: 1.1
Prerequisite: Keyboarding or equivalent

Note: This course meets the requirements for Technology Applications credit.  This course articulates on the state-wide articulation plan with community colleges for 3 hours of college credit with a "B" or higher. Such a grade also qualifies as an Advanced Measure on the Distinguished Achievement Plan.

This course emphasizes:

  • word processing, spreadsheets, databases
  • telecommunication
  • desktop publishing
  • presentation management
  • web page development
