Active in Service and Leadership Since their election on September 21st Kissam Student Council representatives and alternates have been busy with activities — both service and leadership. Red Ribbon Week found our council representatives involved in placing Red Ribbons about the campus. Our council representatives and alternates took the role of leadership and service in the Canned Food Drive. They made posters and were responsible for counting and delivering food items to the library for distribution in the Chapel Hill community. Members are also operated the W. L. Kissam Post Office. Currently the council is getting ready for Texas Public Schools Week and Kissam University. In these events the council will provide both service and leadership. In Student Council meetings members are learning and practicing leadership skills. We are working on organization, keeping a calendar of our meetings and responsibilities, and learning how to make proper introductions. Our Student Council Members are:

Aritsia Argote Pennies for Patients Program
This program will be led by Kissam Student Council. April 7-18, each classroom will collect pocket change to be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fund lifesaving cancer research. |
