ITSC - Introduction to Transportation Service Careers (8060)
Grades: 10-12    Length: 1 semester     Credit: ½ credit      GPA weight: 1.0
This course emphasizes:

  • broad basic understanding of career opportunities in automotive technology
  • training requirements and introduction of basic automotive skills

Automotive Technician I (8070)
Grades: 11-12    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 2 credits per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: ITSC

Note: This course meets two periods every day and meets requirements for P.E. credit.

This course emphasizes:

  • job-specific training for entry-level employment
  • use of repair manuals
  • repair of basic automobile components
