Bender.jpgABOUT MRS. BENDER

Thank you so much for visiting the Choir page!

I am presently in my 16th year of vocal teaching, both in the classroom and in the private studio.  My Bachelor's degree is from Oklahoma Christian University and my Master's degree is from Okla. City University Graduate School of Music.  I have been married to my husband, Gary for 25 years and am the proud mother of three amazing, talented kiddos. This is my fourth year at Chapel Hill.

The Choir programs are growing by leaps and bounds.  Our District now has the reputation for putting on some of the best High School musicals in this part of the state.  We have three to our credit, "Annie", "The Music Man" and this year's show, "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown".

I personally want to thank you for your continued support of the vocal program at CHS.  I love being a part of your children's lives and sharing the joy of music with them!  Please contact me any time-

Classroom Activities

The Choir students are involved in multiple activities, all revolving around the "bel canto" method of vocal production.  Our rehearsals are spent working on technique, sight reading, musical expression and ear training.  We do two major concerts each school year in addition to many performances outside of our building as well as UIL competitions.  Our Spring concert is set for May 8th at 7:00 in the HS Fine Arts Auditorium.

We are having our formal Choir picture taken on March 4th immediately after school.  All Choir members are required to stay and be in their Choir uniform for this picture.   We'll go as fast as we can!
