Melissa Rivera - Jackson Elementary Math Facilitator

About Ms. Rivera

Hi! My name is Melissa Rivera. I have worked at Chapel Hill for over 12 years, all of them at Jackson. When I started, I was an ESL teacher, and then I moved to kindergarten, now I am currently the math facilitator on our campus. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UT Tyler.

I am married to Francisco and we have 2 awesome children, Chloe and Cruz.

I enjoy watching children learn something new and feel privileged to be a part of their success.

Math News and Information

Three teachers were thrilled to receive new equipment- ELMOs and projectors for their classrooms: Ms. Gregory (Kindergarten), Ms. V. Johnson (1st grade) and Mr. Torres (2nd grade).

Our 1st and 2nd graders took a first semester benchmark on January 15th. Their results are as follows:
