About Ms. Lacy

Although this is my sixteenth year in education, it is only my fifth year as the school counselor at Jackson Elementary, and I truly love being a part of such a wonderful family -- school and community. I grew up in this Jackson community and, yes, I am a proud graduate of Chapel Hill. After high school, I received an Associate in Arts from TJC, Bachelor of Science in Education from UT Tyler, and a Master of Science in Education from Texas A & M-Commerce.  I moved to the Dallas area for about 11 years, but as you see, I came back home. I am married and have one son and one stepson. 

Our Jackson parents and students are great! Our parents encourage their children to do their best in school, and they (parents) also support the schools by attending school programs, parent workshops, and parent/teacher conferences.

Character Counts - Each week the students are presented with a new word of the week for Character Counts.  The word is discussed over the intercom each day and it is reinforced in the student's classroom.  The word of the week for this six weeks are: 3/3/08-Cooperation (Build Bridges with Others), 3/10/08-Self-Restraint (Stop & Think), 3/24/08-(Industrious (Work Hard), 3/31/08-(Perserverance (Never Give Up), 4/7/08-(Be Your Best), 4/14/08-Dignity (Respect Yourself)
