Theatre I, II,& OAP:

We have been spending some time this first couple of weeks learing procedures for the classroom and expectations for the year.

We have also began a family internet project in which your child will be able to digitally upload their photo or yours and find out which actor or actress they are similar to.  You never know your child may be the next super star posing as a celebrities child, double, or sibling in a play or movie!

Dancers should be working on: Pom Mix, Rock Pom, Military, Beats Hot, and all other routines from the summer list.

Make sure you have seen the pink practice and game schedule sent home with your SAPPHIRE.

Course Descriptions

THEATRE ARTS I                                                        All Year

Theatre arts will include the following: 1) Expressive use of the body and voice 2) Acting concepts and skills 3) Theatre production concepts and skills 4) Aesthetic growth through appreciation of theatrical events including attendance and participation in live performances.

THEATRE ARTS II (Prerequisite Theatre Arts I)      All Year

Theatre Arts II/III will include an extension of the skills taught during previous theatre arts classes. There will be an increased focus on preparation and participation in theatrical performances.
