AR reading:   All students have been tested and have a beginning of the year reading level. Each student has had the opportunity to check out three library books from the school library.  They also know how many AR points to strive for in order to be eligible for the rewards at the end of the grading period.  Please encourage them to read from their independent reading books for at least 30 minutes a day. Two independent reading grades will be averaged in to their six weeks' reading grade; one grade for the average percentage of correct answers on the AR tests taken and one grade for the percentage of points made from their expected goal for the six weeks.  These two grades are in addition to other daily reading grades.
