Fifty-seven middle schools students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 during a candlelight ceremony. The new inductees are eighth graders Safwan Aburayan, Kendall Beal, Ambriana Brown, Braeden Young, Kamry Folks, Estee Reeves, Kyle Roberts and Matthew Sorenson. The new seventh graders are Kobly Acker, Brittan Adams, Saul Aguilar, Ana Arellano, Rosa Arreguin, Emily Blanchard, Spencer Borah, Elise Burch, Angelica Chavez, Jenica Clark, Cassi Coffey, Kallie Dark, Justin Davenport, Caitlyn Emmons, Jonathan Espinoza, Virginia Foster, Emily Glaspie, Brandi Gouldthorpe, Thomas Gregory, Darrielle Hampton, Michael Harris, Clayton Hendry, Rocky Hill, Raevyn Hines, Paige Hintz, Annea Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Kristen Kavli, Kriby Lemon, Jacee Looney, Jacob Lorance, Rebekah Martin, Alexus Mayfield, Ariel McClenny, Breanna Malloy, Austin Oglesby, Kiera Oliver, Luis Ovalle, Jessica Payne, Kaitlyn Pellegalle, Chelsey Pryor, Abby Ray, Kelley Saucerman, Sadie Sirls, Morgan Skidmore, Heather Tresner, Clint Weaver, Kaitlyn Wedgeworth, Andra Whitfield and Kaitlyn Wilson. |

CHMS Multicultural Day CHMS sponsored a Multicultural Program on May 16, 2008. Students dispalyed their talents in a broad range of performances. Special guests from Tyler Junior College added to the excitement and enjoyment of the program. |

Carol Morgan was named Teacher of the Year for the Middle School for her outstanding work as an English as Second Language teacher. Morgan was also named earlier in the year as the Teacher of the Third Six Weeks. Congratulations Mrs. Morgan!
