Welcome back to another exciting school year!  I hope everyone enjoyed a much deserved summer vacation. After completing the most successful academic school year in recent memory, it is time to prepare for an encore performance.  Last year we placed a big emphasis around the 6 principles for school climate where Failure Is Not an Option.  (1) Common Mission, vision, values and goals (2) Ensuring achievement for ALL students: Systems of prevention and intervention (3) Collaborative teaming focused on teaching and learning (4) Using data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement (5) Gaining active engagement from family and community (6) Building sustainable leadership capacity.  We will continue the path that we have traveled with expectations of greater success.   I would like to invite you to our “Bulldog Bash” (Open House) on Monday, August 23, at 5:30 p.m.  Come learn about our classroom procedures and meet your child’s teachers.  We will start in the Terri Procell-Bowen Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. with a general session, then release by bell to meet your child's teachers. At 7:00 p.m we will go to Bulldog Stadium for “Meet the Bulldogs” and performances by our students.  Athletic boosters will serve a hot dog and water for $2.00.  Come support your child and celebrate the beginning of a new school year with us!
