I want to thank you for the support you have given your students, we have had a great start of the school year! We have been focused on our main initiative of the year the "Failure is Not An Option" program. Please read our articles throughout the year that will focus on this concept so that All of our students are successful. To ensure the safety of our students we ask that you sign in at the principal's office when you visit the high school. No one should be on campus without a visitor or substitute tag. We have also brought back student Id's this is just another way we keep our students safe. We are a closed campus and student Id's helps us know at a glance if a child is a Chapel Hill High School student.
Data shows that students do better academically if they feel a sense of connection to school and feel cared about by adults and peers in their school. I would like to invite you to "Coffee with the Principal" on Tuesday, October 21 @ 7:30 a.m. in the high school library. We will be discussing the formation of a parent action team for the high school.
The second six weeks of the school year is proving to be busier than ever, so be sure to mark your calendar for our coming events. We, look forward to seeing you and thank you for permitting us to work with such an incredible group of young people.
Yours In Education,
Lamond Dean
