Students wishing to have their registration forms checked or who need a waiver for their desired test date must turn in their registration packet at least two weeks prior to the post mark date. Or, if registering online, make an appointment in the Counseling Center to see Ms. Divine two weeks prior to the postmark deadline.  Our deadline is earlier in order to have time to process everything.  Students with questions should sign up immediately to see Ms. Divine.

 Junior and Senior SAT/ACT Reimbursements
This year we will again continue our ACT or SAT registration reimbursement program for juniors and seniors.  Over the course of the school year, a junior or senior may be reimbursed for the regular registration fee for one of these tests provided the student has the scores sent to CHHS and he is not on free or reduced lunch.  (Free and reduced lunch students should use the waivers provided by the College Board and ACT Corporation to pay for their test registration fees.)  Seniors meeting these criteria who tested anytime between September and January should receive their reimbursement checks back by April.  Juniors who wish to take advantage of this during the spring semester must register for their tests and provide proof of registration to Ms. Divine by February 1, 2010.  Students do not have to test by this day but they must be registered by this date so that the money can be set aside.  Reimbursements for juniors and seniors who qualify, sign up, and test during the spring will be mailed in August.  Qualifying juniors who test this spring but who do not register in the Counseling Center by February 1, 2010 will not be reimbursed.  Questions concerning the reimbursement program should be directed to Ms. Divine. 
 Accuplacer Test for Seniors
Seniors planning on attending any Texas public junior college, university, or trade school must take the THEA or Accuplacer prior to registering for college courses unless they are THEA exempt due to scores on their TAKS, SAT, or ACT.  The Accuplacer test costs $25.00 if taken at TJC.  On March 3, 2010, CHHS seniors who need and wish to take the Accuplacer may do so FOR FREE.  In order to qualify for this reduced rate, seniors must turn in their Student Data Intake Forms. If a student loses his/her form another one can be picked up at the counseling center.
