Art 1 students began the school year by intensively studying the elements of Art. They worked on several projects that directly related to each of the elements of Art. This week the students will be putting all of the knowledge they have gained so far to use while creating a cover for their sketch book! They are creating an Illuminated Initial to put on the front cover and decorating it in the style of the Renaissance.
Art 2 students began the year concentrating on Drawing. They have been in a more focused studio setting developing and expanding their drawing skills. Since that time they have been working on a Pop Art Sculpture where they have created a large paper mache' sculpture of a small object. More information will follow about upcoming projects and events.
Art 3 Pre-Ap and Art 4 AP students began the year by creating a portfolio of original artwork that will be sent to the college board for grading and possible college credit. These students have been working extremely hard and have done some amazing artwork!
