United States history from the nation’s inception through Reconstruction is studied in this course. The following objectives will be covered: 1) United States development as an independent, unified nation 2) Geographic influences on the historical development of the United States 3) Economic development and growth of the United States 4) Social and cultural development of the United States 5) Political development of the United States and 6) Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.
