Science, grade six, shall have a balance of content and activities from the life, earth and physical science and shall include the following required TEKS topics: (1) Field and laboratory investigations. (2) Scientific inquiry, field and laboratory. (3) Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. (4) Tools. (5) Systems, combination of systems. (6) Force and motion. (7) Matter and Energy: interactions. (8) Energy and the Environment. (9) Living Systems: Structures and Function. (10) Internal and external stimuli; organism responses. (11) Organisms and Environment (12) Components of our solar system. (13) Natural events and human activity after earth systems.
