Thank you for taking time out to visit my page!! I would like to start off by telling you a little about myself. I'm originally from Georgia. I've lived here in Tyler, Texas for eight years. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing poetry, traveling and shopping! I received my Bachelor's Degree from The University of Texas at Tyler, and I'm currently pursuing graduate studies through this university as well.

This is my first year at Chapel Hill Middle School, and I'm extremely honored to be a part of  the "world's greatest" faculty and teach the "world's greatest" students. I'm looking forward to learning more about my students and helping them achieve their academic goals. PRE-AP ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS          All Year
The purpose of the Pre-Advanced Placement course is to give middle school students the opportunity to practice, at the appropriate level, skills that will enable them to be successful in Advanced Placement classes at the high school level. The middle school Pre-AP class exposes students to the type of expectations and activities required by the AP program. Strong attention will be given to creativity and higher level thinking skills. Successful students in the Pre-AP class are typically task oriented, proficient readers who are able to set priorities within regard to time and responsibilities. Parental support also plays a key role in the success of those students.

Pre-APstudents are responsible for outside-of-class projects, participating in UIL, and maintaining a minimum of an 85 each six weeks for English.  Students not meeting these requirements will not be recommended for Pre-AP in high school.
