About Coach Steele

Mr. Coach Steele is in his 7th year at CHISD.  He graduated from SFA with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002. Coach Steele teaches 10th gradersPre- AP World History and 12th graders Economics.  In addition, he is a sponsor of our campus Fellowship of Christian Athletes and assistant track coach.

Parents ask about handout that was sent home with your student concerning colledge credit and be looking for one in the mail as well.  Have students use the Stearns AP World website as a study tool.

 

Course Descriptions

Pre-World History AP

Note: This course is designed for the college-bound, highly motivated student willing to invest an extra commitment for Social Studies Advanced Placement courses. Note:  Please use the Stearns AP World website as a study tool.

In addition to fundamental geographic and historical concepts, this course emphasizes:

  • higher level analysis of world situations
  • reading and writing about social studies topics in addition to the regular textbook
 

Girls Athletics (2062, 2048)
Grades: 10-12    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Approval of Head Coach
This course emphasizes:

  • skills required for volleyball, basketball, track, softball
  • strength and conditioning
  • teamwork through competition

9th Grade Girls Athletics (2059)
Grade: 9    Length: 2 semesters     Credit: 1 credit per year      GPA weight: 1.0
Prerequisite: Approval of Head Coach
This course emphasizes:

  • developing the same skills as Girls Athletics (see above)
