Kissam is partnering with the dads and “father figures” of the community in ground-breaking ways through the Watch D.O.G.S. program. Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a nationally known father involvement & educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering. The goals of this program are to provide positive male role models for the students, and to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security & reduce bullying. Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer for at least one school day each year.
We started this program in February 2014 and there was such an overwhelming response that the other campuses are starting Watch D.O.G.S. programs as well. We are so excited to see record numbers of men volunteering at all of our elementary campuses. Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers not only benefit their children, but the teachers, other students, and campuses as a whole.
Sign up online or call the school if you’re interested in signing up as a Watch DOG!
